Control - On Negotiate-the-Price selling,
you (seller) control the "Trading Range" of the price negotiations by setting the
"Ask Price" and the "Min Price". The combination of these two amounts creates the
"Trading Range".
Bids submitted...
...at the "Ask Price" are accepted automatically for the seller
and the ad is close for the parties to complete the sale. On transactions where the
buyer has selected Secure Payment Handling (SPH), the buyer's credit card is
processed for payment by Guntopia to be forwarded to the seller upon the inspection
and delivery of the firearm by the buyer.
...within the "Trading Range" are forwarded to the seller for
acceptance, rejection, counter-bidding by the seller, or do nothing and allow
the bid to expire in 48 hours.
...below the "Min Price" are automatically rejected by the system for the
seller to avoid clutter emails from lowball bidders.
Play the Field - Seller may negotiate the price with many bidders at the
same time for the best price. All bidding is closed which means that only the
seller sees all the bid amounts being submitted. When a bid or counter-bid is accepted
by any party in negotiations, the smart system will automatically close all unsuccessful
haggle sessions. Bid/counter-bid offers are valid for 48 hours.
Best Deal - Sellers may choose to sell at the Firm Price method or
allow price negotiations with Negotiate-the-Price method.
Confidence - On transactions where the buyer has selected to use the
Secure Payment Handling, the bids and
counter-bids submitted to the seller are backed with the bidder's credit card.
Should the deal close successfully, Guntopia processes for payment and holds funds
to be forwarded to the seller upon completion of the transaction. Although the
buyer pays for this service, it is of great benefit to the seller because the
seller doesn't have to ship the firearm blind before getting paid. And, during
bidding, the seller has the confidence that the bids are real and backed with
the buyer's credit card.
Privacy - On successful sales, only your email is released to the other
party. Your personal information of address and phone number are not released.
